FEATURED VIDEO OF THE WEEK HALO 4 A HERO AWAKENS VIDOC

Halo, it's one of Microsoft's biggest franchises, and often finds itself in competitions against Call of Duty. But I'm only here right now to talk about the newest Halo. If you haven't heard yet, Halo 4 is not being developed by Bungie Software, the team behind the first three main Halo games. Instead, 343 Industries is taking up the valuable position of development team.

Now, the video is a bit lengthy, but well worth the watch if you appreciate all the effort that goes into making a Halo game. Some of the crew from 343 Industries talk about the process of storywriting, character and background design, and more. There's very little actual gameplay besides seeing Master Chief grapple with enemies.

At the very end of the video, Cortana says: "Don't make a girl a promise you can't keep." It's safe to assume that she's telling Master Chief this even though he's not on the screen, but what could she mean? Could this be a hint of possible foreshadowing? Only time will tell.

Halo 4 is set to release for the Xbox 360 on November 6, 2012. Check out the game's official website here.
