This fall will mark the two year anniversary of Gran Turismo 5's release, and the four year anniversary of Polyphony Digital's partnering with Nissan on its GT Academy competition.
Because the developers are feeling festive, a new version of the popular racing game is being released. Gran Turismo 5: Academy Edition will include all of the various car packs that were available to download on the original version. In addition, those who purchase the game will receive an in-game replica of Polyphony Digital creative lead Kazunori Yamauchi's Nissan GT-R that he used to compete in a recent Nürburgring 24-hour race.
Gran Turismo 5: Academy Edition launches on September 26, with a cost of €29.99/£19.99. The release date and pricing have yet to be announced for those of us in the states, but we'll put out an update when the info comes. Check out the source behind all of this information at Joystiq.
