Resident Evil 6 will finally hit store shelves in less than a month and to further heighten your anticipation Capcom has unveiled some DLC for the game after its release in the form of three new online modes.
The downloadable content will expand on the game's multiplayer experience with some very unique new modes worth your attention:
Survivors mode is similar to the old one on one and team based versus mode but it adds a very interesting twist. Get killed and you get to play as one of the enemies roaming the battlefield with the ability to attack and kill other human players. Kill two players as an enemy to resurrect yourself as a human and back into the game. Last man or team standing wins.
Predator mode puts you in the role of the Ustanak, you know, that giant, menacing bio-organic monster seen stalking Jake and Ashley in their campaign. The point of the game is to take down a squad of human players while they try to take you down or at least survive until the end of the game.
Siege mode is the last piece of DLC and in it you have two teams of players. On one side you take control of human and the goal is to try and protect one single NPC. On the other side you take command of enemies and you have to try and eliminate that same NPC. If the NPC is still alive at the end of the session, the human team wins.
Players will be able to track their accomplishments in all three modes, as well on any accomplishment on the main campaign and share them with others by registering on ResidentEvil.net which will be available to the public when Resident Evil 6 is released. More DLC will be released down the line including additional maps which can be used on the game's Mercenary mode as well on all the new modes announced today. Resident Evil 6 releases worldwide on October 2.
